We collect as little information as we can. Here is what that means in practice.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to send you the newsletter. We never sell, rent or share it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter, or by emailing news@oaklandcountyjournal.com.
Tips and messages
Our tip and contact forms open your own email app; nothing you type is stored on our website. Emails you send us are read by our newsroom and kept confidential.
Website visits
Like nearly every website, our server keeps basic technical logs (such as the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising trackers.
