Milford beats North Farmington 35-8 during homecoming week

Milford improved to 5-1 with a 35-8 win over North Farmington on Friday, Oct. 2, during the school's homecoming week.
Juliano Iljazi and Hudson Smith each ran for touchdowns for the Mavericks, according to the Oakland Press. Smith also threw a touchdown pass to Bryce Marszalek.
Milford High School posted a homecoming-week feature on Sept. 28. The school's post did not name a specific homecoming game.
Mavericks keep rolling
The win continued a strong stretch for Milford. On Friday, Sept. 25, the Mavericks beat Livonia Churchill 46-10.
Milford is 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the Lakes Valley Conference.
North Farmington fell to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the league. The Raiders had won a wild one the week before, beating South Lyon 44-38 in overtime on Sept. 25 behind Elijah Cobb, the Oakland Press reported.

South Lyon East leads the Lakes Valley Conference at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the league after a 20-12 win over Farmington on Oct. 2. Walled Lake Western is 5-1 and 2-1 in the league and can still win the title by winning its last two road games, the last of which comes at Milford.
Huron Valley's other high school, Lakeland, is 1-5 after a 48-7 loss to South Lyon on Oct. 2.
What's next
Milford visits Farmington on Friday, Oct. 9. Farmington is 3-3 and must win out to finish 6-3. The Mavericks then host Huron Valley rival Lakeland on Friday, Oct. 16, and close the regular season at home against Walled Lake Western on Friday, Oct. 23.
North Farmington visits Livonia Stevenson on Oct. 9, hosts district rival Farmington on Oct. 16 and closes at Walled Lake Northern on Oct. 23.
The MHSAA will reveal playoff pairings on Selection Sunday, Oct. 25.
