Walled Lake Western hosts Northern in district rivalry; LVC title still in reach
Walled Lake Western, 5-1, hosts Walled Lake Northern on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and can still win the LVC. Here's the schedule for all three Walled Lake schools.

Walled Lake's district rivalry takes center stage Friday, as Walled Lake Northern visits Walled Lake Western at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
Western: in the LVC hunt
Western is 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Lakes Valley Conference and ranked No. 10 in the Oakland Press county rankings. The Warriors have rolled the past two weeks, beating Walled Lake Central 54-6 on Oct. 2 after topping Lakeland 49-14 on Sept. 25.
Western can still win the league by winning its final two road games: Oct. 16 at South Lyon East, currently 6-0, and Oct. 23 at Milford.
Northern: looking for a rivalry win
Northern is 1-5 after a 43-12 homecoming loss to Livonia Stevenson on Oct. 2. The Knights lost 35-34 to Central on Sept. 25. After Friday, Northern visits Livonia Franklin on Oct. 16 and hosts North Farmington on Oct. 23.
Central: two home games to close
Central, also 1-5, earned its lone win in that one-point decision over Northern. The Vikings visit Livonia Churchill on Friday, then close with home games against South Lyon on Oct. 16 and Livonia Franklin on Oct. 23.
