Clawson visits Madison Friday with MAC Bronze title on the line

The 5-1 Trojans, one win from six, face first-place Madison on Friday before hosting Hazel Park and visiting Royal Oak.

Clawson's football team is one win from six heading into a Friday showdown at Madison with the MAC Bronze title on the line.

The Trojans are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the MAC Bronze, and are receiving votes in the Associated Press Division 6 poll.

Friday's matchup

Madison is 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the MAC Bronze, in first place, and ranked No. 6 in Division 8 by the AP. A Madison win would clinch the division outright for the Eagles.

The game is Friday, Oct. 9, in Madison Heights. Madison enters on a roll after a 60-12 win over Eastpointe on Oct. 2 and a 40-16 win over New Haven on Sept. 25, according to the Oakland Press scoreboard.

Clawson beat Warren Lincoln 14-6 on Friday, Oct. 2, after a 52-14 win over Eastpointe on Sept. 25, according to the Oakland Press scoreboard.

What's left

The Trojans return home Friday, Oct. 16, to host Hazel Park, which is 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the MAC Silver.

Clawson closes the regular season Friday, Oct. 23, at Royal Oak.
