Clarkston's football team is 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the OAA Red, ranked No. 5 in Division 1 by the Associated Press and No. 3 in the Oakland Press county rankings.
The Wolves open the final three weeks of the regular season Friday, Oct. 9, at Lake Orion, which is hosting its homecoming game.
Clarkston coach Justin Pintar said his team would like to "spoil that homecoming," according to the Clarkston News.
League title in hand
Clarkston clinched at least a share of the OAA Red title with a 64-8 win over West Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 2. It was the program's most points in a game since 1958.
The Wolves also won 31-28 on Sept. 25, a homecoming victory over Oxford in a battle of unbeatens before more than 4,900 fans.
Lake Orion is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the OAA Red. A Lake Orion win Friday would let Oxford force a split of the league title.
What's left
Unlike most OAA schools, Clarkston has a Week 8 opponent listed: the Wolves visit Harper Woods on Friday, Oct. 16. Harper Woods beat Birmingham Groves 41-13 and Waterford Mott 47-12 in its last two games.
Clarkston closes the regular season at home against Muskegon on Friday, Oct. 23.
