Bloomfield Hills hosts Troy after rare win over West Bloomfield

The 2-4 Black Hawks host winless Troy on Friday and close with Ann Arbor Pioneer on Oct. 23.

Bloomfield Hills' football team is 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the OAA White heading into the last three weeks of the regular season, and can finish with no more than five wins.

The Black Hawks host Troy on Friday, Oct. 9. The Colts are 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the OAA White.

A milestone win

Bloomfield Hills' season includes a historic result. The Black Hawks beat West Bloomfield 28-20 on Sept. 25 behind four touchdowns from Kaden Cherkasky, according to the Oakland Press. It was only the program's second win ever over West Bloomfield.

Last week was tougher. Troy Athens beat Bloomfield Hills 49-7 on Friday, Oct. 2.

What's left

After Friday's home game against Troy, Bloomfield Hills' Week 8 opponent is to be announced. Most OAA schools show no Week 8 game on MaxPreps, and those matchups are expected to be set by final league standings.

The Black Hawks finish at home against Ann Arbor Pioneer on Friday, Oct. 23.

Playoff calendar

The MHSAA will reveal playoff pairings on Selection Sunday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. on the NFHS Network. District games begin Friday, Oct. 30, and the finals are set for Nov. 27–28 at Ford Field.
